This is a little song that Anna wrote. I like it for its truth and simplicity.

Dear ones, I am, of course, loving this blog. I check it at a minimum of once a day and usually more. However I just wanted to let you know that I am feeling in need of a post with more pictures of Ruthie. Our director did a report at conference this morning and had a picture of his granddaughter, Ruthie's age, included and it made me miss her. I am sure that she is changing daily. It is very hard to miss her first year. Sweet song, Miss Anna. love you all, Grandma Jo
The ringleader of chaos and fun, master of the domestic arts, mother to three beautiful, laughing girls and one wonderful husband, reveler in all things minute and daily.
Husband, father, student of civil engineering, the master gardener and bread baker in the house and loves when he gets to go for a good, hard bike ride.
Anna 10-11-05
Six year old lover of all the delightful details of life. Tree climber, bike rider, rock climber, gardener, Mama snuggler, artist, reader, best friend to her sisters, a kindhearted compassionate girl who knows herself and stands secure and confident in who she is with her feet planted strongly in the natural world around her.
Josie 3-6-07
Five years old, full of spunk, adventure and daring. She loves to snuggle, gives hugs freely and is probably the most social of the three. She is always thinking about those around her and if you need a babysitter she will follow your little one around untiringly and keep them out of trouble. She loves riding her scooter, swinging high, any art project, and is always ready to lend a helping hand. She won't be left behind if you are going out the door.
Ruthie 11-29-08
The cutest, smiliest, most independent 3 year old around, has mastered climbing and is trying to learn to ride her two wheel bike so she can ride 'all by herself' to pick up her sisters at school. She laughs easily, especially at the antics of her silly sisters. Favorite pasttimes are playing in the hammock and building with blocks and lincoln logs.
