Popcorn and Milk for breakfast

Almanzo Wilder talks of this treat in "Farmer Boy", so when Josie requested popcorn for breakfast, I obliged. They loved it, had a lot of fun with it, and left plenty for Ruthie to find as her treat later (notice how much ended up under Josie's chair in the second picture).

So how does popcorn taste in milk? Did you just put in milk or add any sweetner. I am thinking that maybe I should read Farmer Boy to my class and my class could try some of these recipes. They sure look like fun.
Yummy breakfast.

Hmmmm, we have a lot of strange breakfasts, but this would certainly rank up there with them. They look like they enjoyed it! Did you try it Katie? If so, how was it? I'm curious.

That's funny, i tried that as a little girl too because of reading that book. It got rather soggy quickly but i enjoyed it for the most part: mainly because it was something new and unusual.
