This morning Mitch spent some time cleaning his bike and doing some work on it before he took off on a bike ride this afternoon. After she watched him leave Anna wanted to go for her own bike ride around our building, but first she had to clean her bike:
And Ruthie watched, from behind the safety of our 'baby gate':

Oh they are sooooo cute! I can't wait can't wait can't wait for you to arrive on Monday. Can you come any sooner? I need to give everyone a hug!
What a great story! I love seeing your girls imitate adult life; it challenges me to find the ways that my big kids still do the same. I like the way that this lens lets me see them as "little" and still learning by imitating, even at the big age of 12, or 9.
And I vaguely remember the first time Sam turned his bike over to "service" it before he took a ride. The training wheels were sticking out and Nora nearly grabbed on to the spinning back wheel after Sam got it going really fast by pedaling with his hands-she might have touched it, but didn't get hurt badly.
Love the baby gate. So glad Ruthie hasn't decided to climb over it. Smart little mountain goat--I mean girl.
Priceless photos!
